Re: The 84th Congress
This memorandum is a reminder that the 2009. 84th Congress of the Metropolitan Spiritual Churches of Christ is upon us and
we are so excited. This Congress is promising to be one of our best.
Please do not forget that this is the
84th Church Anniversary of the Mother Church of which we will celebrate the anniversary on the third Sunday, July 23,2009, 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. with a District Musical, and a great prophecy service at 7:00 p.m. All members of the congress and other churches are asked to make early plans to celebrate with us, eighty-four years of declaring that
'Jesus Is The Light Of The World', founded by Bishop William Frank Taylor.
Please preregister as soon as possible. Deadlines are June 5, 2009. In addition, we are asking you to take out an advertisement for the souvenir book, please get your pictures and advertisement in before the June 5th deadline.
Your informational booklet will be mailed to you during the month of June outling the services, the elevations, and the consecrations. This will prove to be a historic meeting with the many workshops and Holy Ghost filled services.
All meetings and workshops will be at the hotel, all evening services will be at the church.(Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ, 1231 Garfield, Kansas City, MO. Transportation will be provided from the hotel to the church. Other transportation information will be available in the informational booklet.
The First Church of Deliverance under the able leadership of Bishop Otto T. Houston will be celebrating the 80th Church Anniversary founded by Reverend Clarence H. Cobb, our beloved Second President of the Metropolitan Spiritual Churches of Christ. This glorious celebration will take place on Friday, May 8, 2009, with a Black Tie Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at 7:30 p.m. and the celebration will continue on Sunday, May 10, 2009. This letter is to inform you that on February 10, 2009, in Los Angeles, California the College of Bishops selected Bishop James D. Tindall, Sr. as the Senior Presiding Bishop of the Metropolitan Spiritual Churches of Christ. Also we are proud to announce that Bishop William E. Hamilton has been selected Coadjutor, Bishop Otto T. Houston as Assistant Coadjutor, and Bishop James A. Johnson, Second Vice Coadjutor
Consecration services will be held at the 84th Metropolitan Spiritual Churches of Christ Congress here in Kansas City, Missouri. The time and location will be forthcoming.
Upon receipt of this letter there will be approximately 120 days before we celebrate this historic moment, therefore, it is important that you make your room reservations as soon as possible. The rooms are going very fast so don't hesitate to make your reservations today, please' refer to your last mailing for reservation information.
The First District under the able leadership of The Right Reverend Bishop William Foeman has begun a plan to host an outstanding Congress for this year.
All Department Chairpersons and Presidents must have their Congress information into the National Headquarters office no later than May 15, 2009

Dear Congress Member:
We greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is with the
love of Christ that we write this letter to you and let you know that we
thank God for you and we are so appreciative of your support of the
Metropolitan Spiritual Churches of Christ.
We are proud to inform you that this year's congress of the Metropolitan
Spiritual Churches of Christ will be held July 20 through the 24, 2009, in
Kansas City, Missouri. The headquarters will be at the Hyatt Crown Center Hotel.
All pertinent information and hotel arrangements can be made and should be
made immediately. Enclosed with this letter is information pertaining to
hotel reservations, room rates, and parking. In addition, is your
pre-registration form and we are encouraging you to pre-register as soon as possible.
We look forward to seeing you in a great fellowship in July and we
have no doubt that the Holy Spirit will be present at our 84th Congress.

held February 11 through the 13 at the Hilton Hotel, Los Angeles,

Donald Cook, Pastor of the Harvest Tabernacle Church of Los Angeles to the office of Bishop.

Dear Congress Members:
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we pray that you have
had a wonderful and marvelous Christmas; and may you have a wonderful and
prosperous New Year. As you are aware our Beloved Archbishop Arthur Leonard
Posey went home to be with the Lord and we ' want to thank those who
journeyed with us in Detroit, Michigan, members of the Board of Directors,
and the College of Bishops who participated in the transitory service.
As we approach the New Year, please continue to pray for our International
Congress and particularly for the members of St. Jude Spiritual Church of
Detroit, Michigan. Our Archbishop's physical presence will be missed, but
we realize that spirit was never bom therefore spirit can never die.
