Luella Wise affectionally called "Momma Lou" was born May 27, 1924 to Robert
and Mamie Hayes in South Park, Kansas who preceded her in death.
She was married to a previous husband, to this union two children were born.
She later married Joseph Wise in 1956. To this union one son was born. He also
preceded her in death. She graduated from Sumner High School in 1942.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Metropolitan Spiritual Church in Kansas
City, Missouri where she served as an usher. Later she joined Christ's Church
of the Jesus Hour, where she was active on the usher board. She was very devoted
to her church until her health had failed her, but she was still determined to
attend. She was at church Easter Sunday, but took sick and had to be taken home.
She entered Bethany Hospital on April 9, 1997 and was called home to be with the
Lord April 17, 1997.
She is survived by two sons: James Few, III, Kansas City, Kansas and Merle M.
Wise of Olathe, Kansas; and one daughter Mayme Diggs of Oak Park, Michigan;
three sisters Geraldine Hayes, Roberta Lewis and Emily Groves, all of Kansas
City, Kansas, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
