"A PRECIOUS ONE FROM US HAS GONE,
A VOICE WE LOVE IS STILLED
A PLACE IS VACANT IN OUR HOME
WHICH NEVER CAN BE FILLED.
AND AFTER A LONELY HEARTACHE
AND MANY A SILENT TEAR,
BUT ALWAYS A BEAUTIFUL MEMORY
OF ONE WE LOVED SO DEAR."

Brother Jimmie A. Williams, Jr. was born on April 17, 1929 to the late Rev. Jimmie and Mrs. Irleen Williams in Quincy, Florida.

He accepted Christ at the age of 12 years old and joined Mount Pilgrim Primitive Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. R. H. Jackson.

Jimmie attended the Public Schools of Gadsen County, graduating from Stevens High School in Quincy, Florida, later he attended Nursing School in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jimmie joined and served in the military in Korea from 1951 to 1953.

Jimmie was always one to see the good in everybody. Never any words of negatism. His life displayed love for all that came in contact with him; always portraying the Father figure for sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews and other children.

After a short stay in Michigan, Jimmie moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where he began to work at the VA Medical Center as a Surgical Scrub Nurse, later retiring after twenty-five years of service.

Steadily growing deeper and higher in the Lord, Jimmie joined the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ under the leadership of Rev. Henry Lawson and later under Rev. James D. Tindall, Sr., where he served faithfully for over forty years, serving as President of the Nurse's Board, and singing in the Male Chorus, a member of the Federated Board, an Active Support of the Youth Department. Jimmie was also Co-Founder and a member of the singing group, "The Leviticus Singers".

Jimmie served the Lord faithfully until, his Master called him home.

He leaves to remember and cherish his love; three sisters, six brothers; several uncles, and aunts; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
