BROTHER CHARLES TAYLOR, JR. was born
December 19, 1967 to Evangelist Ella Taylor-Sherman and
Mr. Charles Leroy Taylor, Sr., in Kansas City. Missouri.
Charles attended schools in the Kansas City. Missouri
School District graduating from Central High School in
1986. He attended Missouri Valley College where he
received his degree in Business. He also attended Penn
Valley Community College.
Charles accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ under the pastorate of Dr. James D. Tindall, Sr. where he served faithfully as part of the Youth Department, Music Department, Trustee Board, Metropolitan Sociological Resources Corporation and as Minister of Music for the Children's Choir. Charles had a special gift and love for working with the elderly and youth. He spent a lot of his extra time doing things to make their lives more comfortable. Charles was an exceptional basketball player, horseback rider, skater and enjoyed sports. He also had a love for religious music and recently began to develop his God given gift of playing the piano. Seeing how the Lord was working with Charles, Pastor Tindall and the church enrolled Charles in the “Play By Ear Music Institute” under the instruction of Mr. Phillip Brown. Because of his rapid advancement, Charles was employed at the Institute as a music instructor for beginning students.
Charles made his transitory change Sunday, March 17,
1996.
