Lucius Styles was born December 25, 1916, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Willie Lewis Styles and Emma Garner. He had brothers Willie Lewis, 0. C., Jimmie Lee and Hamp, and granddaughter, Vickie Lynn Brown—Sanders all of whom preceded him in death. He has one sister Annie Velma Ross of Nashville, Tennessee.

Brother Styles married Dorothy M. Harrison Smith on January 11, 1945. They remained together until Dorothy made her transitory change in 1 990.

Brother Styles was a long time member of Metropolitan Spiritual Church. He will be remembered for working in the kitchen and for his fried chicken and sweet potato pies.

Brother Styles was employed by Santa Fe Railroad and Vendo Company.

Brother Styles departed this life July 21, 2002 at Research Hospital.

Brother Styles has daughters, Loistine Fleming (Nathaniel) of Nashville, Tennessee; Delores Tyler, of the City; Addie Marie Smith of St. Louis, Missouri; adopted son, Donald Williams of the City; grandchildren, Steve 0. Styles and Christopher Fleming of Nashville, Tennessee; Vein R. Brown, Nathaniel Brown of the City. He has seven great grandchildren and many friends and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his family and a host of relatives and friends
