Frank Douglas Smith, 58, was born August 24, 1928, to the union of George and Lena Mae Smith in Rosedale, Kansas. He was the youngest of eight children. He attended public schools in the Kansas City area, namely R. T. Coles school. He was united in marriage to the former Eula Mae Henderson in 1945. To this union eleven children were born. One child preceded him in death. He was employed by the public works department for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, for a number of years. Later he was employed by the Hallmark Card Company and the Niles Home for Children. He was a gifted interior decorator for many years until his health began to fail and he could no longer do so. Frank Smith was a very loving and helpful person. He departed this life on Sunday, September 28,1986, at the Truman Medical Center. He leaves to mourn his passing: seven sons, George Smith, Leonard Smith, Lloyd Smith, Floyd Smith, William Smith, Terrence Smith and Tyrone Towns, all of Kansas City, MO; five daughters, Mrs. Frances Tindall, Mrs. Patricia Barr, Ms. Clarice Smith, Ms. Mary Smith and Ms. Diane Towns, all of Kansas City, MO; one brother, George Smith, Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Mrs. Roberta White and Mrs. Thelma Long, Kansas City, Mo.; seventeen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
