Sharon Dance (Richards) Robinson, 42, daughter of David F. Richards, Jr. and Lolita J. (Carter) Washington was bom October 20, 1952 in Kansas City, Kansas. She died February 8,1995. A daughter, Nicole Marie Gaskin preceded her in death in 1978, and her step father, William A. Washington, in 1984. As an infant she was baptized at Centennial Methodist Church (now Centennial United Methodist Church), and as a youth she confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and was received into full membership of the church. She later joined the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Jesus Christ. She attended the Attucks Elementary School, Lincoln Junior High School, and graduated from Lincoln High School, June 6, 1969, after attending the Kansas City Summer Institute for Academically Able Students at Central High School. She also attended Penn Valley College for over a year. Sharon was formerly married to Edward R. Robinson. This union was blessed with one child. She worked at: the former Macy's Dept. Store; Blue Cross I Blue Shield; The Jackson County Court House in the Assessment Dept; after which she applied for and passed an exam to work in the Prosecuting Attorney's Office (Child Support Dept.) where she remained until her death. She was a hardworking, dedicated employee, oft times working when she was sick, so she could provide for her children. She was a member of Celestial Chapter #102, Order of the Eastern Star, Excelsior Court #23 and Rosie E. Jackson Heroines of Jericho. Always a very loving and devoted daughter, mother grandmother, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend, Sharon leaves to cherish her memory: a son, Keith A. Gaskin; a daughter, Danielle R. Robinson; her mother, Lolita J. Washington, all of Kansas City; grandson, Demareon Gaskin of Kansas City, KS; father, David F. Richards, Jr., and Stepmother, Swannie Richards of Savannah, GA; brother, David F. Richards III, (sister-in-law) Linda Richards of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Yvette Kirn Richards, Independence, MO, Bonnye K. Anthony (brother-in-law) Vincent Anthony, Burlington, NC; grandmother, Mrs. Christina D. Richards, Sedalia, MO; five aunts, Julia Violetta Harris, Kansas City, MO, Laura Maxine Burrell and Cleo Mitchell, Chicago, IL, Oilie M. Carter, Sedalia, MO, Beulah Carter, Colorado Springs, CO; two uncles, Robert C. Harris, Kansas City, MO and Norman S. Burrell, Chicago, IL; a nephew, David F. Richards, IV, many foster aunts, cousins, many, many friends and acquaintances and a special friend, Stephen Snead.
