Life Reflections

Miss Zeima Lee Oates was born March 30,1958 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Rev. Benjamin Oates, Jr. and Thelma Mydjett Oates. She was the seventh of sixteen children.

She confessed hope in Christ at an early age, she was baptized at the Paseo Baptist Church and later became a member of the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ.

She received her education in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Manual High School in 1976.

Zeima was employed with the Kansas City School District as a Teacher's Aide for several years.

She departed this life, Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Truman Medical Center

She was preceded in death by her father. Rev. Benjamin Oates, Jr.; a sister, Zondra Oates and a brother, Arkidephia Oates.

She leaves to cherish her memory; a daughter , Zekelia Oates; two sons, Eugene Davis III, and Robert Oates; two grandchildren, Ellese Davis and Bobby Veal IV; her mother, Thelma Oates; thirteen siblings, Venita Boone, Wally Oates, Evelyn Wright, Keith Oates, Benjamin Oates III, Arthella Williams, Robert Oates, Theresa Camp, Barth Oates, Quo Vadis Oates, Rhonda Oates, Janet Oates and Dempsey Oates; a uncle, Rubin Oates, a aunt, Vada Stephen and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

God's Grace
