Patience was born on March 17, 1955 at Douglas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born to Joseph and Dorothy Johnson; she was the oldest of four children.

Patience found the Lord at an early age, she joined the East Side New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Charles C. Stephenson, Sr., she was a member of the Choir and the Usher Board. Then having moved her membership to the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ in 1976 were the Rev. James D. Tindall, Sr., is the pastor, he later baptized Patience, then she joined the Choir and attended Sunday School.

She attended Wendell Phillips Elementary School and went on to Lincoln Jr. and Lincoln Sr. High School here in Kansas City, Missouri.

Wednesday morning at 1:15a.m., the book was opened and the record was searched and Patience Marie Johnson's name was found and God called her from labor to reward.

She leaves to cherish: her mother, Dorothy Harroway and step-father, Chin Harroway, of Kansas City, Missouri; grandmother, Rev. Alice Mae Smith, of the home; two uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Dansby, of Berkeley, California; Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Dansby, of Nashville, Tennessee; step-father, Bill Burton, of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Monica J. Thrasher and brother-in-law, William J. Thrasher, of Kansas City, Missouri; Ladonna W. Williams, of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother, Adrian P. Johnson, Sr. and sister-in-law, Geneva Johnson, of Tacoma, Washington; three daughters, Andrea L. Johnson, Tanisha M. Johnson and Chiquita Dean, who is deceased; three sons, Andre M. Johnson, Gregory T. Johnson and Adrian R. Dean, all of Kansas City, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, all of Kansas City, Missouri; a devoted friend, Willie Smith, of Kansas City, Missouri; Tina Mercer, also of Kansas City, Missouri; and Mrs. Erlene, of Kansas City, Missouri; a host of aunts, unncles, nieces amid great nieces, nephews amid great nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
