Fred D. Jenkins was born September 2, 1906 in Hope, Arkansas to the union of 0. I. and Ann Jenkins, who preceded him in death.
He departed this life February 16, 1990 at the Baptist Medical Center.
Fred came to Kansas City as a young man. He was employed at Armco.Steel Company for 42 years, as a foreman before his retirement. He was a member of the Armco Retirement Club.
He was a member of the Metropolitan Spiritual Church Of Christ and served on the Trustee Board for over 40 years.
He leaves to mourn: his loving wife of 46 years, Helene Jenkins; two sisters, Rev. Rosie St. Clair of the city and Mrs. Carrie Cox of Sedalia, MO; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
