Mrs. Genell "Peggy" Horne was born September 15, 1930 in Columbia, Missouri to Josephine Frances Smith and Theodore Cochran.

Mrs. Horne was educated in Columbia, Missouri at Douglass High School.

Mrs. Horne moved to Kansas City, Missouri in her early 20's.

Mrs. Horne met and later married LeWildo L. Horne of Topeka, Kansas.

Mrs. Horne had no children of her own, but she helped raise her two younger sisters, Theola and Loretta Cochran.

Some of Mrs. Horne's hobbies included, fishing, traveling and being around children. Mrs. Horne loved kids and kids loved her.

Mrs. Horne was a life long member of Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Jesus Christ, where Bishop James D. Tindall, Sr. is the Pastor.

Mrs. Horne was employed as a Manicurist for over fifty plus years at Salon Mission, where she just retired last year at the age of seventy-five.

Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by husband, LeWildo Horne, mother, Josephine Frances Smith, father, Theodore Cochran, brothers, James Cochran and Gerald Cochran, sisters, Loretta Cochran and Gorlia Mae Warren.

Mrs. Genell "Peggy" Horne, 76, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away, September 6, 2007 at the Horne.

Left to cherish Mrs. Genell Horne's memories is her sister, Theola Cochran of Jefferson City, Missouri; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Horne was a very sweet person who was loved by many.
