Harold E. Haskins was born May 4, 1938, to A. D. Haskins and Corneal Johnson in Kansas City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, Lloyd Wells and Carl Lewis; three sisters, Betty Haskins, Peggy Burley and Johnnie Moore; and a brother-in-law, Delbert Moore.

He attended Kansas City. Kansas Public schools.

Harold was employed seventeen years as a production worker at Colgate Palmolive Company and retired in 1993.

He attented the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ where he was a faithful member until his illness. He worked with the Radio Broadcast Club, wherever Harold could help, he would do so. He enjoyed listening, to his pastor preach and listening and supporting the male chorus. Harold loved his church and spoke very well of the ministry.

After suffering a stroke in 1995, Harold resided at Medical Lodge East in Kansas City, Kansas until the Lord called him home on Monday, June 18, 2001.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two brothers, George Haskins (Daisy) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Gary Johnson (Kathy) of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Jimmie Fields of Kansas City, Kansas and Patricia Overton of Sacramento, California; one brother-in-law, Robert Burley of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Wells of California and Marie Lewis of Kansas City, Kansas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
