Gladdies Harris was born August 1, 1919 to Grace and Henry Shephard to this union was born ten children.

She grew up and went to school in Independence, MO.

She later married George Mayfield and to that union were born Donzell and Grace. She also bore three other children Christina, David and Carida.

Gladdies Harris lived to the ripe old age af eighty-three.

She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age in her life.

She became a member of Metropolitan Spiritual Church. She grew in God and became a minister of St. Mary Grand Holy Tabernacle. As she grew older and continued in the fiiith. she became a member of St. Peters Full Gospel Baptist church which her grandson, Pastor James R. Mayfield founded. She became the first mother af that ministry.

Gladdies Harris b.k.a Aunie, went home to be with the lord March 9, 2002 where she will meet with her three children: Donzell, Daviad and Carida, one grandchild John B. Myatt, and her eight siblings, which preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory two children: Grace Jones and Christina Smith; two brothers: Henry Shepherd and Donald Eugene; a host of twelve grandchiidren, thirty-three great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, a God daughter: Betty Griffin, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
