Rita Jolisse Gadson was born, November 11, 1961
in Kansas City, Kansas to Jolene Harris and Thomas
“Tutty” Gadson, and departed this life on Tuesday, July 10,1990.
She graduated from F.L. Schlagle High School,
Kansas City, Kansas, in 1980. Rita lived in the greater
Kansas City area most of her life and later moved to
Topeka, Kansas.
She professed Christ at an early age and was a devout child of God. Rita worked diligently in the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ where she was christened and later baptized. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and faithful friend. At the time of her death she was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Topeka, Kansas. She was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Topeka, Kansas. Her passing is mourned by a host of family and friends.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Ricquisha N. Campbell, her mother, Jolene Harris, father, Thomas “Tutty” Gadson, sisters, Eartha L. Gadson, Gwynne E. Harris, Lisa M. Ellis, Sharla L. Harris, and Carla L. Harris all of Kansas City, brothers, Ronald 0. Harris, Maurice Gadson, and Reggie Gadson of Kansas City and California, respectively; her maternal grandmother, Ruby Harris, and devoted fiancee' Ricky K. Campbell, and a host of aunts, uncles and friends.
