Mrs. Mary F. “Ramsey” Fritz 68, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 13, 2001.

She was born Nov. 12, 1932 to the union of Roy and Helen Ramsey in Kansas City, Missouri. She was one of four children born to this union. Her husband, father, mother, sister, brother, son and grandson all preceded her in death. She was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District, attending R. T. Coles and Lincoln High Schools. She worked at the Osteopathic Hospital in Labor and Delivery and Woodland Elementary School, as a Parent Teacher for many years. Mrs. Fritz opened a candy store in the Parker Square Apartment Complex, where she lived for 22 years. To keep the kids safe until her health failed. She was so affectionately called “Granny” and “The Candy Store Lady” For so long she was always surrounded by children. Her presence will surely and lovingly be missed. Mrs. Fritz leaves to cherish all memories her children:four daughters, Donna M. Fritz, Annette R. Fritz-Braven, Leona M. FritzTreadwell, and Marilyn E. Fritz-Kimble, all of Kansas City, MO; three sons, Gary B. Fritz, Cortez H. Fritz and Clifton Fritz-Hill; a daughter-in-law, Veronica Wright; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Ms. Betty Ramsey; one niece and three nephews; a very specialfriend who was just like a sister, Ms. Loretta McKenzie; and a host of “other”family, friends, and neighbors.
