Dorothy M. Edwards was born in North Little Rock,
Arkansas, later moving to Kansas City, Missouri.
She was a Presser for the K. U. Medical Center.
She was a member of the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ, where she served as President of the Missionary Board #1.

She leaves to mourn her passing: one son, William E. Lamar and one daughter-in-law, Hazel Lamar, of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother, Samuel Edwards, of Detroit, Michigan; one aunt, Iona Edwards, of Oakland, Californía; one nephew, Bill Rucker, of Los Angeles, California; three grandchildren, Collette Lamar, William Christopher Lamar, Taja Brown, all of Kansas City, Missouri; one great grandson, William Christopher Lamar, II; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
