DOROTHY J. CLARK was the eldest child born to Walter and Ma]ester Hawkins Moore. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on January 20, 1944.

She attended Douglass Elementary, Northeast Junior and Sumner High School, from which she graduated in 1962. She also was a student in the St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing.

Dorothy was a surgical technician at St. Luke's Hospital and Providence-St. Margaret Health Center for a combined 17 years before she retired because of ill health.

She was a member of the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ, Kansas City, Missouri.

Dorothy was married to Gary Lark in August, 1956. To this union two children, Jerral and Nicole, were born.

In August, 1983, she and James Clark were wed, and to this union, a daughter, Shante, was born.

Dorothy died at her home on Thursday, October 30, 1986.

She is survived by: a son, Jerral M. Lark, and two daughters, Ms. Nicole M. Lark and Ms. Shante L. Clark, all of the home; two brothers, Larry Moore, K.C., MO, and Arnold Moore, KC, KS; her father, Walter Moore, KC, KS; five sisters, Ms. Joyce Washington, KC, KS, Ms. Martha Mclntosh, Ingelwood, CA, Ms. Linda Young, Hercules, CA, Ms. Barbara Moore, KC, MO, and M. Debra Gough, Oakland, CA
