Emmett P. Belcher fondly known as “Dancing Bear” was born on Dec 29, 1946 to Abraham and Helen Belcher. He was educated in the Kansas City Kansas and Kansas City Missouri School Districts. He also attended college in St Louis Missouri. Mr. Belcher worked as a Cook at the Rockhill Manor Boarding Home, The Salvation Army and the Restart Program. He was a member of the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ, Male Chorus under the direction of Rev Lucien Smith, Bro Rufus Miller and Minister Virgil Brown. He-served as Choir Director for The Inspirational Community Choir and The Mass Choir of Metropolitan. He also sang with The Famous 0 Neil Twins and The Interfaith Choir of St. Louis, MO, and The GMWA Kansas City Chapter. Emmett passed away September 20, 2001 8:15 pm, at the St Lukes Hospital. Both parent preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory, his Beloved Pastor Bishop James D. Tindall Sr. and The Metropolitan Spiritual Church Family, a special friend Sis. Mary Roberson a spiritual sister Rita Knott: A God mother: Delores Allen and Three close friends; Minister Virgil Brown, Bro Curtis Simpson and Mr. Kenneth Smith all of Kansas City Missouri.
