Rev. Dr. Virgil Brown, D.Min.

Virgil Brown, was born July 12, 1944, 4:00 A. M., at the Wheatly Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. The second child of Mary A. Brown, the first to Mr. & Mrs. Willie Brown.

As a child he was raised and baptize at the Park Ave. Baptist Church on 19th & Park. He often visited The Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ with his mother for the 4th Sunday night musicals and the early Easter Morning services.

As a youth he was very active with the Boy Scouts, advancing to the rank of Eagle Scout (Boy Scouts of America) 1961.

During High School he loved ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps), advancing to the rank of Captain. Played drums with the Manual High School ROTC Drum & Bugle Corps, and played horn with the Wayne Miner Post #149, Exotics Drum & Bugle Corps.

He attended Booker T. Washington and D. A. Holmes Elementary Schools, Lincoln Jr. High School, Lincoln High School. Manual High School, and graduated from Lincoln High School June 2, 1963.
